It is the most beautiful location, on the cutest little street! Its walking distance to everything. The brownstone is very historical, dating roughly around 135 years. It has the ability to be very quaint while being modern.
Honestly, for the price that's being charged I was underwhelmed at the decor and cleanliness. I appreciated the charm and history, but felt like surfaces were sticky (counters, floors) and the furniture was abysmal. The furniture didn't exactly match the pictures either. Again, it has the ability to be worth the price. The place just needs a good scrub (baseboards and corners) floor shine, and new furniture. The walls are really bare, it was a good opportunity to either play into the history of the city, or the moderness since its near the magnificent mile. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, just not for that high of a price.
Also, wifi was really spotty. If you stay for several days, you don't have access to a broom or trash bags etc.

Location, location, location!! That alone is worth 5 stars!! So much to do/see/eat/drink within .5 miles!!
Also appreciated that the host had coffee and the fixins available for us! Very comfortable and safe apartment!!! Would DEFINITELY stay here again if the opportunity arises! Thank you!!

We loved staying at this property. There were three of us. It was clean and met all our needs. The bedding was comfortable. Just know that there are full size bunk beds in the bed room, as well as, a full size bed. One of the best aspects for me is that there was an easy working coffee machine, coffee, sugar and plenty of creamers in the kitchen, so we didn’t have to go out for morning coffee. The shower worked well, but know there is no blow dryer. The property was also quiet.

The location was excellent.
Every piece of furniture in the family room was visibly stained, torn, or had some damage. Both couches were saggy. I couldn't sit on any of them because they were dirty and uncomfortable. The rug was torn. The mattress was saggy on the single main queen bed and the bed frame squeaked. The outlet in the bedroom was literally hanging off the wall. The bathroom vanity was missing the knob, the sink was missing the stopper and a toothpaste lid from a previous guest was visible inside the drain. There was no door lock on the inside of the main entry door to prevent someone from coming in if they had the code. I had no idea if the code had been changed from the last guest, so I felt unsafe and was unable to sleep. I closed the bedroom door and locked it, but it was so difficult to close all the way, maybe due to an uneven door frame, that I almost got stuck in the bedroom, as I was barely able to pull the door open after I unlocked the knob. The kitchen counter was stained everywhere and the handle on the oven was broken and loose. The first night the toilet was running, luckily I knew how to fix the flapper which didn't have a proper seal. Had this been a hotel, it would have a 2 star rating. The location was the only saving grace. I was so uncomfortable that I actually left after two nights and went to a hotel instead. Last, after I received the check out information, I messaged them to ask a question and they never responded. I guess they had gotten their money and had no reason to continue communicating with me. I do not recommend, unless dirty uncomfortable couches and uncomfortable beds don't matter to you. Maybe bring your own travel locks for piece of mind. I purchased some locks for my second night, but still left because verything else was so uncomfortable. This was not how I wanted to spend the night after a long stressful day at work.
