Perched atop Mount Pisgah at the second highest point in the little town of Gill, this 4-bedroom family home provides a peaceful and comfortable stay. Conveniently located just 5 minutes from Rte. 2 and Montague or Gill town center; a few more minutes to nearby UpinnGil Farm, Northfield Mount Hermon School, The Gill Tavern, Thomas Aquinas College, Northfield Mountain, The Farm Table & Kringle Candle, Crumpin-Fox Golf Course.
Custom built in the 1980s, the mountain house has charming details and intricate woodwork. With a grand foyer leading to all bedrooms on the second floor, the house includes a king bed with private bath, a large guest room with 2 twin beds, another guest bedroom with queen bed, a nursery with crib or twin bed, and large full bath to share. The first floor is perfect for entertaining with a fully stocked eat-in kitchen and formal dining room with French doors which open to a solarium and wrap-around deck. The family room has a wood stove fireplace, piano, and entertainment center with WIFI.
Surrounded by woods and set on 5 acres, the mountain house is private and quiet. Explore the bubbling brook behind the back yard or try a hike up the power lines; this is a great country setting for a vacation, reunion, or family stay away from home. Our family has cherished holidays and vacations in this home for almost 40 years, and we are pleased to share it with you.
The house is just 2 miles to the Mohawk Trail, 5 miles away from Greenfield, 15 miles away from Shelburne Falls, and 20 miles away from Brattleboro, VT. The house is only 24 miles away from the Berkshire East Ski Resort and 45 miles from Mt. Snow. 2 hours from Boston; 3.5 hours from New York.

The Mountain House is a comfortable, quiet and well-equipped home for a family vacation or holiday. Close to everything you need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would gladly stay here again.
