We had a lovely stay at Hotel Villa Edis. The location is beautiful, perched on the hillside, with stunning views of the mountains and the entire city from the balcony. The breakfast was nice, and the hospitality was truly exceptional.
The host and his family were absolutely wonderful, welcoming, and very cooperative. Although there was a language barrier, we managed to communicate everything using Google Translate, which made the experience quite memorable! The owner even helped us with a pickup from the Berat bus terminal and arranged a drop-off in Tirana in their own car at a very reasonable cost. They also kindly allowed us to keep our luggage after check-out, which was a great help and showed how much they care about their guests.
The property feels more like a warm family homestay than a conventional hotel, which adds to its charm. We really appreciated the kindness, flexibility, and helpfulness of the entire family. Their personal touch and genuine hospitality made our stay special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm and welcoming experience in Berat!
The steep steps leading up to the property can be challenging, especially when carrying luggage. The road was also under construction during our stay, making walking a little difficult. In the bathroom, a shower enclosure would be a welcome improvement, as the entire floor and everything gets wet while showering.
Despite these minor inconveniences, the wonderful hospitality, beautiful views, and helpful host made our stay memorable.

Good location (can walk to berat castle).
Great views from upstairs rooms
Helpful hosts.
Good AC and room was clean with towels and bedding and soap.
Basic room for furnishings, some things were a a bit broken, no wardrobe etc. Room had a bit of a bad smell.
Parking was tricky! No spots at bottom when we were there, and upper parking was difficult for first time.
Arrival coffee offered by host which was nice, but no coffee making facilities in room (only kettle but no cafetiere or coffee pod espresso machine which we thought there would be from description)
