Waraka was a nicely put-together little eco-hotel that fitted perfectly into the natural surroundings of Udawalawe. All of the staff were accommodating and lovely too.
I would absolutely recommend going on safari with the in-house naturalist, Dinuka. He’s so friendly and knowledgeable, and we had the best morning safari in Udawalawe National Park! 😃

Staff were pleasant but nothing stood out. Really sad to say it’s not as you would expect
Sadly it’s Overpriced for what you get. Non-functional jacuzzi with confused staff, freezing pool, late-night construction noise next door until 10:30pm, and hourly blasting on loud music from an adjacent hotel until 3/4am and security didn’t feel it was worth sorting. Water levels killed the canoeing. Rooms are thin-walled making you feel like your are sleeping in a tent and noisy dogs barking
