Central location with parking nearby, clean and tidy, streaming apps available on tv. Near to shops and restaurants/ pub.
Only two minor issues
Extractor fan in shower room did not work.
Mattress is a bit tired and uncomfortable.

Good space for two. Nice to have such a big bedroom.
It's on a busy road (though we knew this when we booked) and the back yard/patio is rather scruffy. It's a shame you cannot open the bedroom windows and the basin tap in the bathroom needs attention

The Anvil House is a perfect little home. There is a lovely living room with a dinner table and a very comfortable big bedroom area upstairs. You can see the nearby hill "Ben Bhraggie" with the huge statue of the Duke of Sutherland to one side and glimpse of the sea from the other side from the bedroom. The waterfront is just around the corner and there is a shop (Co-Op) nearby, as well as a gift shop just opposite to the house. We enjoyed eating Chinese take-away (Mei's food) in the little but very cosy backyard area of the property and going to dinner at the nearby "Golspie Inn". We walked to Dunrobbin Castle for a visit as well as up to "Ben Bhraggie", it was great to have both basically at the doorstep. The contact with the renting company was very positive and friendly. We are very happy that we have found this gem of an accomodation!
Some of the windows could not be opened when we there. A fix is on the way but may take some time as it is a special type of window. However, there are still a lot of doors and windows to get fresh air into the house and it would not keep us from staying there again.

Very central location. Good value for money. Had all facilities I needed.
Traffic could be very noisy overnight. Some decor was a bit tired. Generic repetitive emails from agent.
