Very spacious, super clean and great communications. We highly recommend this traditional Japanese home which has been restored with love and attention to detail. The hosts are chefs and offer breakfast, plus an optional dinner (outstanding). We used the bikes to explore Matsumoto (very fun), tour Matsumoto Castle, visit a local miso factory (amazing) and walk the trails at Kamikochi (great under trees in summer heat). Hosts offered great recommendations for meals, and took us on a grand adventure on one day. You’ll love this location. Stay a few days to really enjoy.

A gem of a property and Elia went out of his way to help us - including providing all the advice we needed on getting to Kamikochi and climbing Mount Yakedake. He also drove us to various places for less than the price of a taxi, plus the breakfasts were superb and the accommodation itself was so tastefully designed and comfortable. Would massively recommend if you’re visiting Matsumoto or want a base for a day trip to Kamikochi.
