Alkira Cottage is a fabulous place to stay if you are in the Ballandean or Stanthorpe regions. We stayed for two nights while visiting Stanthorpe for a wedding, and this cottage provided us with all the home comforts we needed, including a wood heater fireplace and very comfortable beds/bedding, and a peaceful environment for a little relaxation between travel. Our host Anne was wonderful in providing us with all the necessary info for our stay and was able to reply promptly to any of the questions I had regarding our stay. I highly recommend the Alkira Cottage to anyone looking for a beautiful and peaceful place to stay while visiting Stanthorpe / Ballandean region.

The seclusion and quietness. So close to wineries, pub, shops. The positioning of cottage superb with sun coming in all day. Lovely fire at night. Hostess Anne so obliging with making sure you have all that is required.
I personally did not need another thing. Kitchen fully equipped, perfect.
