Poor management and lack of cleanliness mean we would not recommend this apartment.
Parking is convenient and easy to access from the apartment, and being underground means the car stays cool during summer. The garden and pool are a nice, and the outdoor area attached to the apartment is great for toddlers/kids to play without having to leave. The layout of the apartment works well, and the location is fine overall, though families with kids should note the preferred beach is on the other side of town about a 30min walk away.
Overall, the apartment has the potential to be a nice holiday rental — but see our negative review for why it's not there yet.
We had significant issues with this apartment, primarily around cleanliness and management responsiveness. We would not book this property again and recommend others look elsewhere.
The apartment was not clean on arrival. The toothbrush holder was covered in toothpaste from other guests. The glasses and cutlery appeared to have been used and put away unwashed, so we had to rewash everything before we trusted it. The sheets contained a bug and needed rewashing. The washer and dryer were also unclean: the dryer filter was packed with dust and sand and needed a mould treatment before use, and the washer's seals had mould that also required treatment. We spent our first day and a half cleaning the apartment ourselves before we felt comfortable using it.
Only at key pickup were we told, via a note, that the second bathroom had a leak and that someone would come to repair it in our first week there. No one ever did. Using that shower caused black mould to form in the main bedroom, so we lost access to one of the two bathrooms for our entire two-week stay. When we followed up, management said they were waiting on their insurance before fixing it — but a paying guest shouldn't be left without a working bathroom while that gets sorted out. How management funds a repair is their problem, not something that should affect the guest experience. If we'd known in advance we'd be down a bathroom, we'd have booked elsewhere or expected a lower price.
Beyond the automated key-pickup emails, management was not proactive. We had to repeatedly chase them for updates on the bathroom repair, and never received a real resolution or alternative solution.
The property needs more thorough cleaning and inspection between guests, and management needs to communicate proactively and resolve maintenance issues, especially ones affecting basic amenities like a bathroom, without leaving guests to chase them down.
We were a family of 3 and stayed for 14 nights.
