We stayed in the Cypress Cottage. It was very quiet and comfortable. You could see the ocean from the window and the kitchen was stocked with all you need for cooking. They supplied coffee, tea and a complimentary bottle of wine.
The carpet needed to be removed due to age in the eating area, stained. Upon entry the cabin smelled of dogs from the past. We had to air it out. We were not particularly bothered by this being a dog owner ourselves but not what we wanted to smell on a getaway without our dog. Otherwise, the cabin was lovely, self check in a breeze and atmosphere fantastic!

The location and clean, cozy rooms at The Inn at Schoolhouse Creek are awesome! This was my second stay here, and I will definitely be back. Very relaxing, peaceful, and nicely landscaped setting.

We stayed in the heather cottage. It was comfortable and clean. Whenever we had questions, the staff on duty were kind, friendly, and immediately responsive. It was a great location with quick access to Van Damme beach and an easy drive into Mendo.
The property no longer has a lounge or hot tub, so there weren’t any amenities to evaluate. But basics like coffee, hair dryer were fine.
