The Gran Resort Princess Fujikawaguchiko

The facility is a little dated and distant from public transportation. You will need to utilize either a taxi or the provided shuttle to Kawaguchiko station. Otherwise, every single room has a stunning view of Mt. Fuji, the public bath is nice enough, the breakfast is pretty good, and the staff were helpful with English-speaking guests. There is a large Manga collection in the lounge as well as a gift-shop. The view of Mt. Fuji is good enough that you can get all your pictures and videos from your bed 😁.

Everything is nice

Our room was very spacious, and needless to say, the view from the room was spectacular. There is no outdoor onsen, but you can go outside to the terrace and cool down directly from the public bath. Breakfast wasn't super fancy, but typical Japanese breakfast buffet, and everything tasted good. There is an Izakaya super close to the hotel, which was very cheap with generous portion.

I was a little worried at first about this place because it was about ten minutes away from the station so not the easiest location. But it was very walkable to a lot of restaurants so it wasn’t bad. I would definitely stay here again as the massive windows gave a stunning view of Mount Fuji. It was spectacular to wake up to that view everyday. The staff were so helpful and nice and went the extra mile for us by hunting down a taxi very early in the morning when we didn’t book one to e night before. All the staff were so friendly and always made us feel important and welcomed. The hot pool at the hotel was very nice. I didn’t know they had one when we booked so it was a huge bonus. Great amenities at the hot pool. Loved that they provided a traditional looking kimono for your stay. Was fun to wrap myself in one while we went down to the hot pool. The rooms are extra spacious so with 3 of us travelling it was great for all the extra space. Beds and pillows were comfy But honestly I was most amazed by the view from our room. Didn’t try the restaurant so can’t say anything about that. I’m so happy we stayed here and would highly recommend it. Thank you to all the great staff.
