This hotel is perfectly located for walking to various sites although we did not realize how hilly Lisbon was. It was nice to have a king size bed. It is a clean and safe neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shopping. Our room was on the rooftop next to the bar with a private terrace which was very convenient. The view was spectacular. Service was great in both the bar/restaurant and the front desk. A few things for improvement: add shampoo/soap dispensers in the shower. The small squeeze-type tubes were very difficult to open. Also, our shower did not drain properly and the drain was detached from its casing. There was a strong smell of mold in the bathroom after we used the shower.

Hotel do Chiado is in a great location center of everything in Lisbon. Walking distance to many many tourist destinations. Hotel is beautiful with and awesome rooftop bar and restaurant with sweeping views of city and the Tagus river. Staff was amazing and very helpful with all planning. They ensure you are taking care every step of the way. My birthday was June 11 and a bottle of champagne was sent up to our room to our surprise. I would recommend this hotel because of the location in Lisbon and the excellent staff.
