The room was a bit dated with a lot of “brown furniture” and could do with a little update. This was a little disappointing but did not detract from the overall state of the room.
The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much effort or trouble. They were friendly and welcoming.
We had the “full English” which was well present, full of flavour and hot. As with the breakfast all drinks were brought to the table with a smile from the staff.
We wanted to have cold drinks from the Bar in our room and were told that this was absolutely no problem.
The property in many parts was very old and possibly historic and the ambience was reflected in the decor. I would say lovely and exactly why this Pub is a perfect place to stay awhile.
