Excellent room and very spacious with every thing we needed. Has an elevator and great air conditioning which is a huge plus. The owner is so helpful and went out of his way to accommodate us since we had an early arrival. Very nice, safe area with plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here on next trip.

First thing’s first… Max, the host, was incredible! I only got to speak to him twice during our four day stay but both times he was extremely pleasant and helped make our stay in Rome, unforgettable. Residenza Alexander is located on Via Cola di Rienzo which is the Main Street in a shopping district near Vatican City. If you are looking for a coffee shop, Max recommended SciaScia, a 100 year old little shop about 5 minutes away, it DID NOT disappoint. For gelato, there is La Romana which is an authentic shop also a 5 minute walk and it was the BEST in Rome! Our favorite Roman style restaurant was Ristorante Visconti 2.0, and you’re seeing a trend, it was a 5 minute walk. Now, distance to the historical sites. Colosseum and The Roman Forum was a 45 minute hike or a 15 minute FreeNow cab ride. The Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Palazzo Venetia, etc were all about a 30 minute hike and do yourself a favor and take the walk, you’ll see countless parts of the city along the way! Trastevere is the foodie district of Rome and is also a 30 minute walk, a ton of cool cafès and Roman street food spots over there. And for the room… you must have a key card to enter the main courtyard and building, climb up 3 flights of stairs or use the lift to get to what seems like a hidden hotel with 4 rooms. Bed was comfortable, room was a good size for two people and the staff cleaned the room once a day. Perfect location for a couple who wants to stay out of the middle of the city! I highly recommend!
