We enjoyed our stay at the Pinecone Palace. It was a great location, close to many hiking trails and lakes as well as to the local restaurants in Seward. Host communicated well and made everything easy.

The unit was one of a variety of cabins on the property. The layout of the cabin was a bit of a surprise as the listing on Expedia didn’t specifically identify the photos for each cabin. What we missed was a chair or two to sit on other than on the bed, but once seeing the size of the unit, it would be difficult to find room for that. The unit was clean, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We prepared a meal there. The deck has a lovely forest view which we enjoyed. Management was very responsive.

We found the property exactly as described - comfortable bed, great little kitchenette, quiet ambience, convenient parking space and very clean. It was very convenient to Seward while letting us escape the tourist crowd. The wifi was wonderful. There were very clear posted notices about operating the heater and expectations for use of the kitchen. I think Bear Necessities is a great option for this area.
