Quiet, clean, comfortable and convenient for Durham.

Room was clean and comfortable, staff were really friendly and helpful. The bar had a cosy, comfy friendly local feel about it.
The only thing I can mention negatively is that Expedia has the walking time to Durham down incorrectly. I think they meant it is a 13 minute drive not a 13 minute walk. This was no fault of the place where we were staying.
It still wasn't a problem though, there is a bus stop straight across the road and an uber cost under £10.
We didn't have food there because we'd already eaten, but there was plenty of choice on the menu all at a good price.
We would definitely stay again

Lovely old-style pub with rooms on the first and second floors.
Its outside of Durham, but so close out daily trips in and out of the city for a graduation were done in under 10 minutes and less than 10 GBP for the Uber.
Super nice landlady, and I do recommend this accommodation.
