The garden, hot tub, and spacious bedrooms really make this place. The treats and supplies were well appreciated and beyond what is normally offered in cottages where we have stayed. The location is excellent, being in the centre of Alnwick. However, there is a real sense of escape from the busy street and atmosphere of calm and tranquillity. The little touches of plants, along with the garden flowers, make this a very attractive cottage away from the hustle and bustle.
Great restaurants nearby and such wonderful attractions make this a good choice.
The bathroom is in need of modernising, and being situated downstairs at the back of the cottage is inconvenient. The height of the ceiling over the bath/shower is too low and awkward for a tall person.
Understandably, this is an old building. However, there was a musty smell that did improve
