I highly recommend a stay here.
These are quiet and comfortable family-owned rooms set in Piano di Sorrento (about 4 km from the centre of Sorrento). It is a 6-minute walk from Piano train station.
It has a large swimming pool set in a large garden with good parking. There is a small number of staff, so you will have to plan your needs.
I highly recommend a visit to the family-run restaurant, champagne bar and hotel set in the hills above Sorrento (10 minutes by car). This serves excellent haute cuisine based on seasonal home-grown and local produce, backed by a good selection of fine wines (albeit not cheap).

We had the best time at the Gargiulo Suites, it is run by a lovely family who enjoy what they do and are extremely helpful and friendly. The suites are right around the corner from the Piano Di Sorrento train station which makes it really easy to get in and out of Sorrento.

This is a great hotel to stay at. The hotel room was very spacious with a very large balcony and a nice view. Facilities were great including use of a pool. Breakfast was included and bountiful.
The owners were incredibly attentive and helpful when it came to advising on trips and places to eat.
I’d highly recommend the sister restaurant under the same ownership. The food was exception, the restaurant was new and swanky and the views of the coast were lovely.
The only downside was the noise from the trains nearby and a lot of barking dogs. But this wouldn’t put me off returning.
It’s a little out from Sorrento centre but walkable and the train station is nearby.
Overall I would recommend this as a place to stay.

We stayed here as a family of four for six nights and had a lovely stay. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly Roberta and Claudia, who were incredibly helpful throughout our visit. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
Our continental breakfast was delivered to our room each morning and was delicious. The room was spotless, and whenever we requested cleaning it was done to a really high standard.
The air conditioning in each room was lovely and we had a huge balcony.
The pool was an added bonus and was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. It was open from 8am–8pm each day, making it a lovely place to relax. The only area that could do with some maintenance is the pool itself, as quite a few of the tiles were coming away and some were sharp underfoot.
The location was perfect for us. The train station is just a five-minute walk away, with trains taking around five minutes to Sorrento and stopping right in the heart of the town. There is also a local shop just two minutes away, with a larger supermarket and pharmacy around five minutes in the other direction.
There is a small local park opposite, which was great for younger children, and the local harbour is beautiful. There is a lift down to the harbour for just €1 each, which was particularly useful in the heat.
Overall, we have absolutely no complaints and really enjoyed our stay. We would happily return and would definitely recommend this hotel to other families visiting the area.
