Hase is a lovely, quiet area with great shops, coffee, and temples. Check-in was easy, the host friendly, and the area was quiet. It's a ten minute walk to the Enoden line in one direction, and a 15 minute walk from an awesome viewpoint for Mt Fuji at Cape Inamuragasaki.
The tatami room where we slept had a bad smell, and the bedding, while clean, had some marks. The shared shower was a little uncomfortable to use due to there being no shelf or hooks for towels, toiletries etc.
