Dave and Karen are the consummate hosts, right from the first knock on the front door of the beautiful, wraparound porch. All the rooms are nicely redone from the original 1908 structure, but still maintain the century-old character. We stayed in the Madison room, which suited us perfectly with the 4-post king bed. Breakfasts were top notch - tasty and filling, especially the bacon and french toast. Loved the 24-hour access to hot water and coffee. It was fun finding out about the history of the house and the previous guests. You can tell that Dave and Karen are very proud and able stewards of this NH relic! Also enjoyed the evening conversations on the porch, as the temperatures went down and the porch heaters turned on. Willy and Harry were also the cutest dachshunds, following us around. We were there just as the leaves were turning, but would love to come back when there's snow on the ground to enjoy all the homes' fireplaces. Can't imagine a more cozier place! We look forward to coming back. Hats off to Dave and Karen for preserving this legacy!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Mulburn. We booked here because we wanted a half way stop on our road trip to Maine. We were traveling with two boats on the top of my car. Leaving them in a parking lot was a concern of ours so we started looking for a smaller business that had onsite parking. Mulburn fit the bill perfectly. Once we arrived we were blown away by how gorgeous the inn is. It's stunning! Our room was very cozy and we had a wonderful night sleep. We had an early departure time and thought we would miss breakfast, but were delighted to find out that our host, Dave, would be preparing breakfast burritos for us. They were huge and very tasty! I was full until almost dinner time. He also went out of his way to prepare a vegan version of the burrito for me which I appreciated more than I could properly express. I always feel like I'm being difficult when asking for a vegan meal, but he made me feel like it was easy peasy and not a bother at all. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to relax around this beautiful home and take it all in. Right next to town, I walked down to the shops. Clean, safe, well lit parking. Clean, cozy rooms with good lighting and glorious bedding! I'm not sure how many other guests were there with us, but we heard nothing from the other rooms. Beautiful dining room with 24x7 self serve tea, coffee, hot cocoa. Gorgeous sitting area. Seriously - it's the bees knees. Book it!
Not a thing!

The location was beautiful and the property was pristine. Breakfast was delicious (we are still talking about the French toast and compound butter).

The inn was cozy, clean, and a great place to hang out while we weren’t hiking! The porches were really nice and there were even games/puzzles available. Dave was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. It was also a very convenient location to our hike on Mt. Lafayette. We would definitely stay here again:)
