De ligging, de gastvrijheid en het lekkere avondeten en ontbijt !

The closest, affordable hotel to the glacier. The staff are the owners and they could not have been more friendly and welcoming. You sleep to the sound of the fast flowing river and the glacier twinkles in the clear night sky . Ski bus stop is beside the hotel.
Whilst the ski bus is excellent, you do need a car in the evening as the bus to the nearest town, Neustift, stops at 6…..and it’s a relatively expensive taxi back.
Sadly the hotel’s restaurant was closed whilst we were there for evening meals as it was the end of the season.

Das Hotel hat eine Toplage und die Talstation der Gletscherbahn ist 15min entfernt. Es gibt 2 Saunen sowie ein Dampfbad und eine Infrarotkabine, perfekt nach einem langen Skitag.
Das Frühstück war ausreichend, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und der Wirt war sehr bemüht auch die Sonderwünsche unserer Kinder zu erfüllen.
Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, das wäre grundsätzlich auch ok. Es kann nicht nur neue Luxus-Chalets am Berg geben. Allerdings müsste auf die allgemeine Sauberkeit ein wenig mehr Sorgfalt gelegt werden. Öfter mal die Zimmer durchsaugen usw.
Zu unserer Buchungszeit war das Restaurant geschlossen, was für uns sehr ärgerlich war da im Umkreis nur ein paar Apres-Ski Almen waren die bereits um 16 bzw 18 Uhr schließen.
Unbedingt vorher fragen ob das Restaurant geöffnet hat.
