Expectations vs reality: In this property’s description, Hotels.com listed that RVApartaments Escala Brava had air-conditioning. As it turned out, the AC in the unit was only in the living room, NOT in the bedrooms. Our trip was during the hottest time of the year in L’Escala. Had known this, we would have booked a different property. We had bad luck from the start. There were no bath towels provided for us, only hand towels. Furthermore, there was one small roll of toilet paper, no bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner or soap) and not even the basics such as napkins in the kitchen. Hotels.com also listed "laundry" among the amenities but we were informed there was none. Communication with the host is ONLY through WhatsApp. After checking in and seeing what was missing, it took them quite a few hours to respond to our texts. Apparently, they were having some sort of emergency in one of their other properties. Frankly, this is their business. They should be more prepared. Before going to bed on the first evening, we noticed quite a few insects in the master bedroom & on our bed. These turned out to be bedbugs, so we slept in the living room. The next day, communication with the host GREATLY improved. We were moved to another one of their RVApartaments that was more ample. Again, it only had AC in the living room, but we had a much better stay. This review, like all our others, is meant to be as helpful as possible to future guests & the property.

We enjoyed our stay on L'Escala apartments. It was as expected: easy, cozy, tidy and quiet with private parking. Location was really good for family vacation - close to beautiful beaches, restaurants, groceries, and two nice playgrounds. Two bedroom apartmentwith garden was perfect for family of 4.

The bed was comfy. Sadly nothing else was good about this apartment. It lacks basic amenities such as soap and curtains. We were kept awake all night by a broken down fridge fan that wouldn’t stop making noise, and then kept awake in the early hours of the morning by the sunrise as there are no curtain on one side of the apartment. There is no parking available, its residents only, which we were not warned about. There is also no lift and we were on the top floor with heavy luggage. Would not re book.
