We stayed for 3 nights in this charming apartment aboard an old ship, and we'd absolutely return.
What We Loved:
The terrace & views – The private terrace overlooking the Zaan River is lovely; we spent hours watching small boats pass by throughout the day.
Genuinely cosy – The living area is small but perfectly designed to feel intimate and welcoming, not cramped.
Breakfast setup – No full kitchen, but there's everything you need: a quality coffee machine stocked with fresh beans, and sufficient prep space.
Spotless & well-maintained – The apartment is clean and in excellent condition.
Teddy – Our host is genuinely friendly and always ready to help. He made us feel very welcome.
Unbeatable location & value – Just 20 minutes by train to Amsterdam Central Station, but in a quiet, peaceful area to relax. Far better priced than staying in the city.
Bottom line: Highly recommended if you want proximity to Amsterdam without the hustle and bustle, all at great value.
Just minor points to consider:
Ceiling height – The living area has limited headroom; taller guests will need to duck in places.
The bed – It leans slightly, but it's comfortable and charming – part of the ship's character.

la barca era completa di tutto il necessario per soggiornare qualche notte, c’era il bollitore, macchinetta del caffè, asciugamani. il letto era comodo e cuscini anche, in oltre c’era lo scalda letto ottimo per i mesi un po freddi.
l accoglienza è stata meravigliosa da parte dei proprietari, ci hanno offerto delle cose da mangiare e sono state molto gradite,
c’erano anche gli ombrelli per la pioggia.
tornerei volentieri sulla loro barca.
