The history of the building is intertwined with the storied history of Washington. The well preserved interior and exterior tell a story of the many people who have lived and visited there. Despite the genuine antiquity the rooms are furnished with comfortable furniture and modern conveniences.
Some exterior preservation like shutters need attention. Noise from automobile traffic is occasionally loud but can’t be helped due to the authentic location.

Loved the old vintage style and the beds were so comfy. Need one for my house. They were absolutely amazing.

A historic building in the town's historic district doesn't get much better than this to get a real feel of Washington's days gone by. Communication in advance with the owner was terrific and meeting him in person upon arrival a real pleasure. I loved my room, especially the high ceiling. My only regret is that the weather wasn't quite warm enough to enjoy the lovely pool area.
