Great stay at Destine's property in South Chicago. The house is spacious and nicely furnished. Plenty of free parking outside the house. Destine was very communicative and helped us quickly solve a few issues.

The rooms were pretty spacious, and the owner was pretty quick to respond when reaching out to them. They also didn’t have a bunch of dumb rules or expectations from us. When we checked out they just asked us to turn off the lights and take out the trash, super reasonable. The kitchen is very spacious and had what we needed. The cleaner left a list of local restaurant suggestions for us.
The air conditioning doesn’t really work on the third floor (where 3 of the bedrooms are), while the bottom floor (two of the bedrooms) will be freezing, making it impossible to make the house work for everyone. Two of the upper floor bedrooms do have portable AC units, but the middle one does not and was very hot/miserable. We were not given check-in or check-out information ahead of time and had to reach out to the owner for that (though, they did respond reasonably quickly). The downstairs opens to a bedroom, but there is no door. You then have to go through it to get to the other bedroom downstairs, so it is a bit of an awkward floor plan. There is also no guardrail on the first couple of stairs coming from the third floor to the second, which was mildly concerning for two of our people who struggled with stairs.
Not sure if this was in the description or not, but there is no parking (just parallel street parking) and none of the bedrooms are on the main level. I don’t know if we just missed that information when booking or if it was not on there, but that would have been helpful for us to know ahead of time.
