The room was lovely, nicely furnished. The pool area was fabulous and much needed in the heat and humidity of August/September. The owner constantly checked everything was fine and if I needed anything.
It was more like an Airbnb in that you had to empty your own rubbish but no spare bin liners were provided including for the toilet paper bin, bedding and towels changed on the 5th day. As others have said it is up a few steep hills from the beach which I just about managed but very uncomfortable in the heat and humidity 38° and 80% humidity- obviously not the owners fault but just a warning for people. The walls were quite thin and I could here people talking into the night.

The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed for our 9 night stay. View from the balcony was good. The pool area was more spacious than we thought it would be and there was always plenty of sun beds available. There is also a lovely shaded area with tables and chairs. The owner was great, friendly and extremely helpful throughout. Couldn’t fault the apartment for its facilities.
We are fairly fit 60 year olds but found the climb back to the apartment arduous in the 35 degree heat! Sarande is built on a hillside so the walk from the beach and town centre is all uphill: about a 20 mins walk from the beach.

We loved the rooftop pool. Rooms were clean. We appreciated the reprieve from the busy beachfront promenade. It’s about a 15 - 20 walk to the centre of town and yes it’s uphill! Especially the last part.
We found our fave restaurant in Albania so far within 10 mins walking … Taverna "Te Çanua"! If you want traditional Albania food, go there!
Hosts were kind.
Our AC unit appeared to be older than some of the others and took a while to cool down the space. Not the end of the world.
