Perfect location, quiet at night for a good nights sleep but within walking distance to beach, restaurants and bars etc. Little touches in the hotel like books, water, sun lotion, beach umberella to use during your stay etc. Large terrace perfect for our stay. Pool is a lovely bonus!
No aircon however, we were aware of this when booking and for the price we can’t complain!

Good pool with beautiful views - stayed open late as well for watching the sunset
On the edge of Old Town so lots of shops and restaurants but a bit quieter than the main strips. Right at the top of the beach elevator. Cant really fault the location.
Even though parts of it like the bathroom was a bit dated, there was a nice traditional vibe throughout, we took some pretty photos.
Room was a good size and very clean, room service cleaned daily and we saw the pool get cleaned too.
Staff were really kind and helpful, and there was a lovely jug of ice water at reception to use and free suncream (not a lot of free water in Portugal!)
There was no air con, just a fan, which was OK but not great (September time). We didnt notice until we had already booked without free cancellation, and probably would have paid somewhat extra and gone somewhere else.
Also no tea, coffee or fridge, so we couldnt really have nice food or drinks in our room, which was disappointing. I suppose you get what you pay for and we enjoy eating out anyway.

Staff at vila bela were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned spotless everyday and the location is perfect with the sea and restaurants a short walk away. 10/10
