The location was in a quiet residential neighborhood that was approximately a 10-15 min walk to different train stations. There was a nearby grocery store and plenty of 7-11s. It was one of the few places I could find where I could book my family of 4 in one room (one double bed, and a single bed with a pull out trundle bed), so it was a good value. Coin laundry is available on the first floor. There's no reception which was fine; you use a key code to get in.
It was a little bit far from train stations (although this factor was balanced by it being a quiet neighborhood), and the room was a little tight when the trundle was pulled out - although rooms may be smaller in Tokyo, and it was nice we could have my family of 4 together in one room instead of booking two rooms.

Saubere und komfortable Betten. Die Wohnung selber war sauber mit Handtüchern, Badetücher, Pantoffeln und Zahnbürsten. Für drei Personen, die nicht lärmempfindlich sind und nach einer Wohnung anstatt Hotel nah an Ueno suchen, ist diese Wohnung geeignet.
Es war kein Hotel, obwohl Bewertungen die Unterkunft als Hotel bewertet haben. Stattdessen war es eine einzelne Wohnung in einem Wohnhaus mit Wäscherei im Erdgeschoss. Der Weg zur Wohnung war etwas dreckig und unkomfortabel. Wir waren vier Erwachsene, und um zur Toilette zu gelangen, musste man das eine Bett etwas einschieben. Das war vor allem nachts nicht angenehm. Den Straßenlärm hört man sehr deutlich, weil die Fenster einfach verglast sind (japanischer Art, ohne Durchblick).

Close to Ueno station, clean, AC, large comfortable beds, easy check in and out
For 4 people kind of crumpled. Kitchen is missing basic equipment like knives, theres not enough plates or bowls for 4 people. There’s NO noice cancellation from the street! Our first night over the weekend it was quiet, but sunday to monday we heard trucks on the road in the middle of the night, the windows didn’t block the sound at all. The accommodation lists sound proofing as one of the properties and it’s definitely not true.
