I really enjoyed how it was tucked away in a quieter part of ueno, but still near the station. I had no issues finding it with navigation.
I loved that it was a repurposed apartment building, the space was very comfortable for my husband and I. We only stayed for a night as we were heading onto sendai, but I would stay again for sure. For what we paid I have no complaints at all.
Some of the surfaces were showing their age, but were by no means bad or in disrepair.

Not far from Ueno station. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a bit old. The fridge looked not too clean inside. No coffee available.

The room was clean and comfortable enough for our family of 4 with 3 beds available. The place was close to most train stations, max was 12 min walk so not too bad. Cleanliness was okay, i can see that there are still dust from bathroom counters. I like that the amenities are always available downstairs, especially face wash, toner and facial cream.
Our family went out while the staff started cleaning. I forgot something and went back upstairs to grab and notice one of the staff used the same towel she wiped down the table to clean the cup, that wasn’t a nice sight to see.
