Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were big, bed comfortable. We loved the 'art & heritage' feeling of the hotel. Wonderful place to stay.
Food could take long to arrive. Lots of fried food.

Property was beautiful with amazing art- museums quality pieces all over the place. Service was great, ladies took care of us with the smile. Our room was spacious with a separate living room. It was wonderful stay.
We had to walk couple of blocks to get to or to get out of hotel to pick up a taxi because the street was too narrow for any car to get there.
The restaurant is open with an out door seating, decorated with beautiful furniture. We were there in 3rd week of October with very hot and humid weather. I understand that there is no AC or any ceiling fans since the ceiling is very decorated with carvings. It would be nice if they can invest in some standing fans or even some table fans for guest’s comfort.

Such a quirky and interesting hotel; a lot of (Dutch) history apparently as I found out from the manager.
Room was super spacious, great coffee and sunset view and easy access to Kotagede market and old town, loved it!

The ambience was terrific, with beautiful works of art everywhere. It was like staying in a museum.
The handbasins in the bathroom looked as if they needed a good clean, but apart from that, the place was quite clean. More variety for breakfast would have been good. Some information about the local area - e.g. places to see, to eat - to provide tourists would be helpful.
Replacing my bottles of water as I had used all of them, would also have been good.
