The hosts were incredible - accommodating and kind. Elephantine is a very unique place, our room was large and even had a steamer for clothes.
If you are AT ALL interested in birds, take the boat tour. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours.
It's at the bottom of Elephantine and there isn't much else around there.
The building has 2 hotels in it, and the owner of the other one was...less than pleasant...when we ran into him on the rooftop.
The bathroom for our room wasn't in the room, a small inconvenience, but worth noting!
