A friend and I stayed at Caleway the night before boarding our AmaWaterways Douro River cruise. We were delighted with the hotel and the staff. We checked in mid afternoon and went off to explore Gaia and Porto. Easy walk to/over the St Luis bridge. Upon our return to the hotel our room had no power and it was the only room without power. The hotel was sold out or we would have been offered another room. Simon at the reception desk spent an hour sorting through electrical panel keys to find the correct one to give us power. Thank You! Bonus it was a very short walk to the ship the next day.

The hotel was quite a respite from the busy public areas. Staff were extraordinarily helpful with all of our needs.
