The Castle offers the rare opportunity to reside within a traditional Scottish castle estate — private, secure and quietly secluded, yet just eight miles from Edinburgh Airport.
Designed by the distinguished Scottish architect David Bryce, whose work shaped much of Scotland’s romantic architectural landscape, the castle reflects both grandeur and domestic warmth. Within its historic walls, up to ten guests may stay in master-suite comfort, with the option of a private chef and driver for those who wish to be fully hosted.
Evenings gather around open fires, while the castle’s own private pub offers an intimate setting for drinks and entertaining without ever leaving the estate. The halls feel welcoming in every season.
For golfers, Ormiston is exceptionally well placed, with 15 major golf courses within approximately 30 minutes’ drive, placing some of Scotland’s finest golfing within easy reach.
Days may also be spent exploring Edinburgh’s Old Town, discovering Scotland’s celebrated whisky heritage, or simply enjoying the privacy of the estate. For those preferring to dine privately, excellent food suppliers and specialist grocers are located nearby.
