A perfect stop on our walk along the North Downs Way. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating with our dog. The room was comfortable and clean. We particularly enjoyed dinner. This pub is clearly the beating heart of this community. Decorated for halloween and full of life with friendly locals. The food was great quality and fairly priced. We look forward to returning in the future.

Lovely character and rooms overlooked the cricket ground.
They even made us a packed lunch to take in the morning as we had an early ferry.

Some staff friendly and welcoming. Decent size room overlooking the green. Close to Eastwell Manor which was where we had to be for a wedding. Friendly locals in pub. Plentiful parking.
Terrible old mattress - sagging, springs worn out, very stained on one side (flipped it to see if any better, but wasn't). Not what we needed after a long drive from Yorkshire. Both left fatigued due to lack of sleep and with bad backs. Raised issue with manager and was curtly told nobody else had complained all summer. He tried to help, however, by providing 2 duvets to add to mattress. Raised again later with female staff member and was told that we'd been given duvets to pad it out. Offered another, smaller room with bathroom across corridor, but mattress felt much the same. She did say we could go elsewhere but wasn't feasible to sort with timing of wedding and uncertain if would be refunded. We drove to Sainsburys and bought a mattress topper, which helped a little. Empathise with difficulties those in hospitality face but a decent mattress is key and this one desperately needed replacing.
Bathroom had a huge bath in the centre, a wardrobe and a bucket with shower head in, as was leaking onto the floor. Sink also leaking and old towel underneath it for this reason.
Plug socket near kettle too high up wall and behind TV so need to use bedside tables for making a brew.
Only less than half a toilet roll provided.
