We loved this place. My friend and I came from The Grand Burstin Hotel, which was set on fire and we had to evacuate. We had booked to stay at the Flying horse but we were going to be late because our car was still in the Grand burstin hotel car park and we had no key for our car. We managed to get one made so we could leave. We called The flying horse to let them know the situation and we would be late. The staff were amazing. A gentleman from the hotel called us to see how we were getting on and asked if we were alright. When we arrived, the staff had waited for us, offered us a drink and asked if we needed anything. They were amazing. Wonderful British people.
The chef asked how we were in the morning, and gave us the most wonderful cooked breakfast.
Beautiful hotel and such wonderful staff.
We highly recommend staying here.

It’s a work in progress a few teething issues ie information in room needs updating to be relevant, meal food service times etc
Other than that room provided everything you need for a short stay
Food very good staff friendly good pub atmosphere and garden out back very nice with large barbecue area for their functions

Pet friendly & plenty of grass for walks. Good English breakfast (cooked to order) and evening meal (home made). Enormous bathroom, though bedroom quite tight. Windows need work, problem may be conservation plsnning restrictions?
Breakfast not served until 8.30, difficult if trying to catch early ferries etc.
