About this apartment rental
This special place is close to everything making it easy to plan your visit to downtown Vandalia. Abe’s Apartment offers a bedroom, full kitchen and bath, dining room, living room with a pull out sofa, and remote work space. This 2nd floor loft also offers beautiful views of the oldest State Capitol in IL and is within walking distance to over 7 restaurants, bars, and various local shops. We are located just two miles off of I-70, a little over a hour away from St. Louis, MO and 30 minutes from Effingham, IL. This loft is located on the second floor so you will need to climb 1 flight of stairs to enter and exit this space.

Very unique property that has been remodeled. Cute neighborhood with the old capital building across the street and a tiny park next door. Very clean upon arrival. It is stated in the listing but know there are alot of stairs for this property and the one above. If your knees can handle it, it is worth it. One thing otherd may want to know. There is no extras available. Shampoo, coffee, etc. You will have to bring that with you. However, at this price point, (i paid less than $100/night), thats ok!

The host was wonderful, the place was as pictured, very clean. I had everything I needed. It was well furnished. I only have one issue, but I realize it is out of the control of the owner. There is a bar behind the apartment and the music was quite loud preventing me from sleeping. Again, this is not the owner's fault, but something I would like to know. I would recommend this place as it was clean, nice, well furnished. Great location. Little restaurants in walking distance.
