The western breakfast was great although it included a salad and soup which we would never have for breakfast in the US. However, the soup was delicious. It is really nice to have someone come and prepare the food in your room. We really enjoyed it. The rooms all had a hot tub and a sauna. There is a big hot tup that they charged us 10000 yen to use for an hour. We were one of two guests on the property at the time (travelling together) and for how much we were paying a night I feel like that community hot tub and sauna should have been included. The staff was extremely accommodating. They even did laundry for us. The resort had all the feels of an ecofriendly property.
The hotel was great but the bed was hard as a rock. I couldn't get comfortable and had back pain both mornings when I woke up. It remote so you're either eating in or paying 5000 yen for a cab into town to eat (the town is very quiet at night). I feel like the hotel should offer a complimentary shuttle service into town. Also any trip up to the mountain will cost you over $100 one way to get to the mountain. The bus from town is cheaper but you have to get into town first.

Wow is all I can say about Sense Fuji. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into another world. The team were incredibly attentive and genuinely seemed to anticipate your needs before you even asked. On one occasion, we simply sat in the reception area and a pot of tea appeared without us requesting it. Nothing was too much trouble, and throughout our stay we felt completely looked after.
The villa experience was outstanding. Meals were cooked on the terrace and served in the privacy of our room, making every meal feel special and personal. The level of service was among the best we have experienced anywhere.
Although we didn't get to see Mount Fuji because of the mist, it didn't detract from our enjoyment. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed and grateful for the break from the pace of sightseeing. It was the perfect place to slow down and unwind.
The private spa experience was another highlight. An hour in the spa bath and sauna seemed to pass in five minutes. The facilities were excellent and, on a clear day, the large windows would provide wonderful views towards Mount Fuji.
If I could score this property 11 out of 10
My only constructive comment would be that the private spa was more expensive than similar facilities elsewhere on our trip. However, it was still a fantastic experience and one we thoroughly enjoyed
