-Exceptional hotel, owners and staff, so kind, helpful an excellent communication
-Amazing pool and beautiful gardens with lots of areas to relax
-Huge modern, spotlessly clean room, black out curtains and a duvet for a good sleep
-Only 4 villas so never busy
-Everything about this place is 10/10. I booked for a night as had to get some work done and ended up staying 4 nights. Also Great WiFi.
-Walking distance to main road yet set back in the jungle so you hear the birds and not the road
-Lovely breakfast with fresh fruit, juice and eggs
It is close to a railway line but the trains were infrequent and not disruptive but just to be aware of
One thing to note for solo travellers the place is a short walk off the main road and the path can be dark at night. However this is easily managed by taking a tuk tuk

I’ve been traveling extensively around Sri Lanka before arriving at Hasthri and I can honestly say that the attention to details here was outstanding!
The apartment was absolutely clean, the design is modern, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need.
The Spa Ceylon (luxury Ayurveda wellness brand) products in the room were definitely a much appreciated extra touch!
They even provide snacks and daily bottles of water.
In terms of location, the apartment is also well located: around 5-10 mins walk to many restaurants, bars and the beach.

Top quality facilities, a very thoughtfully and lovingly constructed hideaway in the trendy area of Ahangama. Throw in a surprise complimentary breakfast and welcome snacks - you just feel like home here at Hasthri ❤️
