The house has "good bones" I loved the built in cabinets and overall style of the house. It has large rooms and still cozy. There is no handicapped accessibility. It is a Beautiful Old House, with servants quarters and hallways. The pleasant owner lives in those quarters and uses the rest of the house for the guests. Some places inside look run down, as if it's been hard to keep up on maintenance, but overall I enjoyed it.
The owner was having issues with Expedia paying him and even notifying him that we had booked it. But he let us stay and we were very grateful for that!

Beautiful old mansion lovingly restored with so much charm! This was a fantastic location for our needs. We were able to walk past estates and cute cottages with beautiful gardens to shops and restaurants for breakfast and lunch. Close to the Buffalo History Museum and other local attractions and about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls. Our host was able to let us have an early check in time and he gave us a tour of the house with some interesting background info. He lives quietly on the third floor and we had the first and second floors to ourselves. Note, this is not a hotel, it is a private home. No room service, but a terrific kitchen with pots and pans and dishes. If you want a spa like retreat with full service, this is not for you. You have use of a parking space and front door entrance with your own keys to the front door and four separate keys for each bedroom.
