Horrible Stay. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I stayed at Lisbons Heart Apartments from August 5th and was originally booked through August 10th. Unfortunately, after just one night, I checked out because the conditions were unacceptable. The bathroom had a strong sewage and moldy smell, the carpet had crumbs and did not appear to have been properly cleaned,the towels looked dirty, and when taking a shower, water went all over the bathroom floor. I called the property the following morning, explained the issues, and told them i was checking out early and requesting a refund for the four nights I would not be staying. Instead of showing concern or taking responsibility, they were rude and told me it was my fault for not reporting the problems sooner. I completely disagree. A guest should not have to inspect a room upon arrival to make sure it is clean and properly maintained- that is the property’s responsibility before checking a guest in. I work in hotel management myself, so I understand how guest complaints should be handled, and I do not complain easily. If a guest at my property had an experience like this, I would expect my team to take concerns seriously and try to make things right. What made the experience even worse was their refusal to refund the unused portion of my stay. I have called multiple times, and I was essentially told that the issues I experienced were not significant enough to justify a refund, despite the fact that I checked out after one night and did not stay for the remaining four nights. This experience showed me that guest satisfaction comes second to keeping the money. The lack of cleanliness was bad enough, but the way my complaint was handled made the situation much worse. I would not recommend Lisbons Heart Apartments. Based on my experience, they showed very little concern for guest comfort. Horrible experience from beginning to end.

Great location, but lacking in basic amenities

Pros: - Location was wonderful if you want to be in the heart of touristy Lisbon. There are several supermarkets within 5 minutes walk, the river is 5 minute walk away, lots of stores and restaurants and really just in the hustle and bustle of the area. If you want to stay away from very touristy restaurants and events, this may not be the ideal location. - Communication with the property management team was excellent and prompt. - Apartment itself had a nice open concept which made gathering for dinner with multiple families (staying in separate apartments) ideal.

Cons: - "Amenities" were completely lacking. We stayed for 8 days and while I don't expect amenities for our entire stay, having basic apartment essentials would have been nice. The apartment had 1 knife, just one, for a family of 5.along with sheet-thin towels and 3 rolls of toilet paper. A "welcome basket" contained 6 coffee pods and nothing else. - Cleanliness of the apartment was disappointing. There was a used sponge left in the sink for our use that looked about 8 weeks too old, the floors were dirty (my 2 year old daughter played with playdoh on the floor and after a few minutes it was covered in hair, none of which was our hair which is gross), and the bathrooms had a serious sewer smell (which may be due more to the age of the building). - Instructions on where to throw trash was confusing especially for foreigners who don't understand that you just bring bags of trash down and leave them by public trash cans on the street (at least that what we did as instructions were not clear).

Excellent location, close to main attractions. There's a lift which is important for travelers with a lot of luggage. The place was quite clean and tidy, just like the pictures shown. Even the washing machine was new, and the tumbler was clean!

The shower inside the toilet has no door. Every night, there's a pool of water inside that toilet. It's slippery and inconvenient. Worst of all, after reporting to the housekeeper that the wifi was broken, no further action was taken to fix it. We had to endure two nights without wifi. This was extremely inconvenient!
