Main attraction is the wonderful setting. The apartment very spacious and clean. It is off a courtyard which has a wonderful stables cafe so that was an added bonus. The grounds had various walking routes which were excellent and very well maintained. Very, very peaceful and quiet especially after day visitors had gone home. Good base for visiting attractions.
The bed really could do with a new mattress and the grey bedding didn't really help first impressions. Easy to fix! The other thing that would transform my rating would be installing a new bathroom with a proper shower. The big, old, deep chipped bath with a hand held shower attachment was not great, although there was always plenty of piping hot water. This flat could be taken from basic to excellent with some changes and a bit of flair decoratively.
