Comfy bed, heated bathroom floor, nice shower and spa bath. Location was excellent, restaurants, pubs and lake in walking distance.

We loved how close the property was to Taupo City and how lovely our Host Marg was. She was unwell and still messaged to check in and see if we were warm and needed anything during these cold winter nights. The Airbnb was spotless when we arrived and was a homey modern nook perfect for two to relax, unwind and discover a bit of nature while in Taupo

Lovely hosts. Situated within walking distance to town and the lake (if your staying during Ironman it’s a 5 minute walk to the transition area, <20 minutes to the finish village). Bonus of a post race spa bath. Relatively straightforward drive to/from the airport. Bedroom and living area well appointed and with enough space for luggage or race gear.

I doubt I will have any better accommodation on my entire trip - the bed was incredibly comfortable, the lounge very spacious and so easy to feel at home in and the bathroom was something else - what a bath and a large walk in shower too. It felt like luxury and puts some hotel suites to shame. It was also an easy walk down to lake shore and into town. Wi fi worked great too.
To top it off, I had a great welcome from the lovely host who was very helpful with some local tips which I managed to squeeze in and was glad I did. Hopefully one day Ill get back to NZ and if I do this will be a no brainer to book again.
Nothing - I wished I could have stayed longer!
