Villa Lilla – Charming Swedish Holiday Home in Virserum, Småland

Welcome to Villa Lilla, a charming and traditional Swedish holiday home in Virserum, in the heart of Småland. Built in 1926, the house has retained much of its original character. Traditional Swedish country-house style meets cosy comfort, creating a wonderful place for couples and families who want to discover Småland at a relaxed pace.

With around 100 m² of living space, Villa Lilla accommodates up to 4 guests. The house is lovingly and comfortably furnished, with traditional details creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The living room is a cosy place to relax on the large sofa or in the rocking chair. A TV with German channels is also available for quiet evenings at home.

The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need for a comfortable self-catering holiday. In addition to the usual kitchen equipment, you will find a dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine.

A particularly practical feature is the house’s two bathrooms. One is equipped with a shower, while the other has a bathtub – especially convenient when travelling with several people.

Outside, Villa Lilla offers plenty of space to enjoy the Swedish summer. The house is surrounded by a garden of approximately 1,000 m², with garden furniture and a barbecue for outdoor meals and long summer evenings. A selection of games also provides entertainment during your stay.

Villa Lilla is located on the outskirts of Virserum, combining a pleasantly peaceful setting with easy access to the village. One of the highlights is the proximity to the water: a lake with swimming opportunities is only around 1 km away, making it easy to enjoy a refreshing swim on warm summer days.

Virserum and the surrounding countryside are also ideal for an active holiday. Forests, lakes and trails invite you to go hiking and cycling. The area is attractive in winter too, with a ski lift and cross-country skiing opportunities nearby.

The location is also a great starting point for day trips. One of the most popular destinations is Vimmerby and Astrid Lindgren’s World, where Pippi Longstocking, Emil of Lönneberga and many other famous characters come to life.

You can also explore Glasriket – the Kingdom of Crystal, one of Småland’s best-known regions. Here you can visit traditional glassworks and workshops and discover the long history of Swedish glassmaking.

For a longer day trip, visit Kalmar with its famous castle and historic old town, or cross the Öland Bridge to discover the beautiful island of Öland.

Villa Lilla is a non-smoking property. Final cleaning is provided, and bed linen and towel packages can be booked as an optional extra. Electricity is charged according to actual consumption at €0.30 per kWh.
