Great host, went out of her way to make sure we could check in earlier so we could head off to the wedding we were attending. Perfect location for Ravenwood Hall and close to Bury St Edmunds. Fresh milk and bottles of water in the fridge plus a little coffee corner next to the bed with a variety of biscuits etc.

I was visiting some of the local National Trust properties and it was in an ideal location to get to see them (Anglesey Abbey, Sutton Hoo and Melford Hall to name a few). Also ideally situated for Long Melford and Lavenham too. The Lodge has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the owners are next door so always available if you need anything. Would definitely recommend staying at The Lodge and will make it my ‘Go To’ if I’m staying in the area again.

Friendly greeting when arrived.
Cute and compact with enough room to move about. Toilet was situated away from the bed.
Sitting outdoors in sunshine - peaceful and quiet.
They provided milk and coffee etc so needn't have taken any.
John told us the walking route into town.
Dried flowers I thought unnecessary.

Very well equipped room with a separate kitchen & a fridge freezer.
When we arrived the place looked like a building site.
The entrance hall had dirty foot prints & the laminate floor in the room was covered in brick dust that stuck to my socks.
The shower was faulty, going from hot to cold. The ensuite was tiny so we had to dry off in the room. There was a full length mirror dangerously propped up beside the bed instead of being on the wall. The bed springs creaked every time we moved & the mattress was uncomfortable.
