Nice decor, friendly staff, good location
Shame the breakfast pastries ran out early .
Would have been nice to have kettle in the room

The 24 hour access to a coffee machine and kettle in the communal area was good.
The bathroom was small and easily flooded while using the shower ( which had great water pressure ) . We were reminded to close the bathroom door while showering so we didn’t set off the sensitive fire alarm. The same reason why there was not a kettle in the room. Although there was a small Nespresso style coffee maker.
The hotel description does not mentioned that it is right next door to a major high school and diagonally opposite a big primary school. The morning school peak time is noisy and chaotic. Although it quickly quiets down after 9am.

Well maintained, clean updated bathroom

The location is the biggest highlight of this hotel. It’s within an easy 10-minute walk to Chatswood Station, Westfield, the markets, and plenty of great cafés and restaurants, making it very convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the bed provided a good night’s sleep.
For a room costing over $200 per night, I expected a few more thoughtful amenities, such as complimentary bottled water, but none was provided. The in-room coffee machine also wasn’t working, and there were no milk pods available. As someone who drinks coffee with milk, that was quite disappointing.
I also wouldn’t recommend paying extra for the continental breakfast. It was very basic and didn’t offer much variety. It consisted mainly of sliced bread for toasting, jam, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, milk, and coffee. There were no protein options such as cheese, ham, or even boiled eggs, which made it feel poor value for the price. Combined with the average quality of the pastries, I’d recommend skipping the breakfast and visiting one of the many excellent cafés nearby instead.
Finally, I booked the upgraded room with the large balcony, but apart from the balcony itself, the room was essentially the same size as the standard room. Unless you specifically plan to use the balcony, I don’t think the upgrade is worth the extra cost.
