Lake Michigan Beach Cottage is located 12 miles between both Grand Haven and Holland! This home features 59 feet of private beach frontage and only 55 stairs down to the beach. Located in a quiet association, this is the perfect spot for your vacation. The panoramic views of Lake Michigan from this waterfront home will take your breath away! Your relaxing day at the beach is filled with a private serene beach front for your family to enjoy. You get the best of both worlds, with a private secluded home location that is just a short drive away from the bustling attractions of the nearby coastal towns. Splitting the distance between two world renowned vacation destinations right on the lakeshore, this West Olive home is the perfect location for your serene vacation destination.
INSIDE THE HOME
This home features 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. Bedroom #1 has a king bed, bedroom #2 has a queen bed, and bedroom #3 has two twin bunk beds, all of which are located on the upper level. One of the full bathrooms is on the main floor and the second full bath and half bath are both located upstairs. The large screened in porch is a great place for relaxing and playing games. There is a table and a nice seating area on the porch for everyone to enjoy! There is also a great patio outside overlooking the lake with a firepit after the sun sets and a gas grill for cooking. This is not a pet-friendly property.

The outdoor space is perfectly situated on a bluff, offering stunning views of Lake Michigan and its famous sunsets. A private set of stairs leads down to a sandy beach, making it easy to enjoy sun, sand, and water right at your doorstep.

Here, your family will find Grand Haven State Park, which was voted in the Top 10 Best Beaches in the world by Travel+Leisure Magazine. The boardwalk stretches one and a half miles, beginning at Chinook Pier and ending at the iconic red lighthouse. Historic, affordable, and amusing, the trolley is continually traveling throughout the waterfront and downtown areas dropping you off at any desired location. At the end of the day, grab a blanket to sit on and head to the Waterfront Stadium where the whole family can enjoy the Musical Fountain. This synchronized lights, water, and music show have coined the title "World's Largest." This free show plays nightly at dusk throughout the summer. The drive in is a one-way single road that is not for the faint of heart, but once you make it to the property, it is absolutely wonderful.The home has everything you need, including access to the beach by way of a very steep stone stairway — also not for the faint of heart. Once you’re settled in, the main living area is perfect for lounging, relaxing, and taking in the beautiful beach and shoreline views.The house was very clean, with plenty of bathrooms, which was a huge plus. The bedrooms were comfortable, though the stairs leading to them are pretty treacherous. If you have little ones, I would strongly recommend bringing a baby gate for peace of mind.One small note: the angled ceilings can be tricky if you’re tall. At 6'2", I had to be mindful in a few spots.Overall, this is a great location for a Holland or Grand Haven getaway. The setting is beautiful, the house is well equipped, and once you get past the adventurous driveway and stairs, it’s a fantastic place to stay.

Over all the property and its location were beautiful! Lots of games and activities for the kids, as well as the adults. We would definitely stay here again.

It was lovely. The only thing concerning was the drive up to the property. A warning about the narrow steep road is important. It was nerve wracking in the daylight and a little frightening in the dark. But the cottage is nice the view is great.

We had an amazing time at this rental. The view alone is worth a stay. The property was clean and exactly as listed. The house was fully stocked with anything you might need from kitchen utensils to beach toys was provided. Thank you so much for making our beach vacation very comfortable and memorable. We hope to be back next year.
