Nice quiet location, easy walk to great restaurants, amazing decor, fun and funky place to stay short walk to the lake :)
Carpark was easy to find but property was hidden behind another house, took us a bit of walking around the neighbourhood to find it. No curtains on windows meant awake early :( Check in process was a bit time consuming.

The house is really spacious, well designed and equipped. The kitchen has nice dishes and a lot of tools. We also really liked the water dispenser for the hot water. Location is not far from the train station in a quiet part of town, but also close to the lake and restaurants.
Could be cleaner and what we really didn't like is that the hosts didn't even try to help us, when we asked for suggestions for a tour or the possibilty of eaelier check-in. It was possible to leave the luggage, but the apartment was clearly ready, when we left our things there. Triying to help the guests and making things possible (like early check-in when the apartment was not rented the day before) make the stay somewhere special. Check-in could be made easier by adding pictures of the location of the house. Took us a few minutes to find it, which would not be necessary. There is a light on the upper floor that is always on, which is also very annoying, because you always have to close the doors to the hallway to sleep.

Very particular style, modern-refurbished Japanese, spacious, good communication with hosts
Lack of proper dining setting, tables/couches were very low and could be a bit complicated with kids. Steep stairs (as advertised).

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Sauber, geräumig und komfortabel. Die Futon waren sehr bequem und die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Die Lage war auch gut und unweit von der Station zu Fuss erreichbar.
Ich fand den Preis schon eher hoch angesetzt für Kawaguchiko. Würde das nächste Mal eher eine günstigere Alternative wählen.
