Very nice staff. The driver of the shuttle went above and beyond.
My room smelt strongly of dog. I cannot believe an animal would be allowed in a hotel bedroom, but I am allergic to cats and dogs and very sensitive to the smell.
The bed was apparently pulled up (wrinkled sheets, not properly tucked in) ; one hopes they were not being reused.
No amenities of any kind - no coffee, no work surface or table - forget getting out your laptop and catching up on work, no pictures on the walls … and the only thing not nailed down were two paper cups, damp towels and the suggestively stained rug. It was very clear the kind of clients they expected.
Arriving at 3.00 pm , normal lunchtime in my home town, the only things on offer were sandwiches. I had one: stale bread, rancid jamon, a sliver of “Brie”. A bad (and expensive) sandwich, the worst I have had in a long time and, as I am originally from the U.K., the bar is very high.
