Unsettling and spoiling our stay in Lisbon

Nothing

Dirty room: stains in the bed and towels, bandaids and dust on the floor, a sink. that didn’t drain properly. We only had one towel that was clean and we had to share that for two night until we finally got a new one. Ventilation full of dust that at some point all this dust fell on the bed. The dust could not be removed, so we had to move 3 floors up with a heavy suitcase and no elevator available. The door of the room has a big gap at the bottom, so light comes in all night and the walls are super thin so you hear your neighbours all the time. Very bad neighbourhood with junkies sleeping in front of the hotel. Last but not least: there is an illegal techno club under the hotel that can keep you awake if you are on the first floor. We know it’s relatively a cheap hotel, so it is fine that it has a small room with no windows, but that is no excuse for renting out a room in this state. Just quit if you don’t like keeping guests.

Good price for what it is and good location

Good location, economic prices.

The sheets and pillows were not clean. Can hear every door in the building opening and closing. Can hear people from other rooms talking and showering.

Not recommended

The receptionist and cleaner were very friendly and helpful.

The location feels very unsafe with a lot of loiterers and the room was totally unacceptable - no window, very small and claustrophobic. We took one look and left. Fortunately we found somewhere close that was nice but it ended up being an expensive exercise because we paid for 2 nights already.
