Good location but disappointing given the price.

Good location, near Piazza Navona and central to main Rome attractions.

Apartment is old and needs serious maintenance. A tiny bathroom, mouldy shower cubicle and shower that doesn’t drain properly make for uncomfortable washing. Power outlets are old and possibly dangerous. Check-in was problematic. Despite confirming our arrival time to the agent three times by email we received no acknowledgments from them and noone was available to hand over keys when we arrived. It took several phone calls from us to various people to resolve the issue and gain access. On the other hand, we received 28 emails from the agent (via Booking.com) about what they wanted from us. All up, the apartment and facilities were adequate for a short stay but given their poor condition compared with a high tariff, and poor customer service from the agent/owner, it wasn’t good value for money. There’d be better accommodations for the price

Nous avons passé 6 jours dans cet appartement à Rome. Tout d’abord, il faut souligner que l’appartement est idéalement situé, à deux pas de la Piazza Navona. Il se trouve à équidistance du Vatican, de la place du Peuple, des marches espagnoles et du Colisée. Le Panthéon est à moins de 10 minutes à pied. Toute la visite de Rome peut se faire à pied, ce qui est un véritable atout. Le quartier est vivant et agréable, avec plusieurs trattorias dans les rues adjacentes, mais malgré cela nous n’avons pas entendu de bruit dans l’appartement. Nous avons pu profiter du calme et dormir sans difficulté.

L’appartement est vieillissant et les équipements disponibles pour un séjour d’une semaine laissent à désirer. Nous insistons particulièrement sur l’état de la literie : les lits et sommiers sont de mauvaise qualité. L’appartement est annoncé pour 5 personnes, mais une fois le canapé-lit déplié dans le séjour, il devient difficile de circuler correctement entre les chambres, la cuisine et la salle de bain. La table est trop petite et ne dispose que de trois chaises, ce qui n’est pas pratique pour manger à cinq. La salle de bain est minuscule et mal agencée ; la douche présente des traces de moisissure et le débit d’eau chaude est très irrégulier 🚿 L’équipement de la cuisine est également insuffisant : les poêles sont très anciennes avec un revêtement très abîmé, ce qui nous a inquiétés. Il n’y a pas de lave-vaisselle. La qualité du Wi-Fi est très capricieuse : la connexion était rarement stable et se coupait fréquemment, ce qui a été particulièrement compliqué pour les enfants 📶 Heureusement, venant d’un pays de l’Union européenne, nous avons pu utiliser le roaming gratuit pour la data mobile. Pour des voyageurs venant de l’extérieur de l’Union européenne, il est préférable de prévoir une solution alternative pour l’accès à Internet. Enfin, l’appartement est situé au 2ᵉ étage d’un ancien immeuble romain, ce qui correspond en réalité à monter environ 4 étages. Cela a été particulièrement compliqué avec une poussette à monter et descendre à chaque sortie. Le rapport qualité-prix nous semble défavorable : la note globale avoisine 7 principalement grâce à l’emplacement, car pour le reste les prestations sont en dessous des attentes. Pour le prix pratiqué, en s’y prenant à l’avance, il est possible de trouver mieux.
