The ice machine ran out of ice, and I had to walk farther to get ice.

I needed to get to the airport early and easily. The Ramada is not fancy, it is on a busy highway surrounded by fences and across the street from the old New Orleans airport BUT the rooms have been completely renovated, the beds are comfortable, the showers are new and clean. When you need to catch a plane, leave a car, and be on your way, for the money it's a good place to stay if you are budget conscience. We just want a clean place to put our heads down. We save our money for the destination. This is our third stay there and we will be back. The staff are friendly and attentive.
The breakfast bar is ok. I am not a real fan of breakfast food so that's not a slap to Ramada. There are good options to eat, I would like to see cut fruit or Greek yogurt but that's just me. There are eggs, sausage, waffles, rice krispies, and more.

Located less than a mile from the airport so it was very convenient. This is an older hotel that's been renovated. The rooms are small but they've updated them to be reasonably comfortable. Room was very clean. Best part was the price was a great value.
The surrounding properties had a pretty nasty smell. I went for a short walk in the evening and really noticed the smell. It wasn't the hotel, but the adjoining properties, and we didn't smell it in our room.
