Other than the stairs, the location is good. Close to the main street for restaurants and the bus to Manual Antonio park, but far enough away to be relatively quiet. Breakfast is ok. AC works well.
Check-in is a pain. There is no reception desk and no staff on site most of the time, so you have to tell them your exact arrival time and arrange someone to meet you. They should add a lockbox or code to make this simpler. Mattress is fairly soft/saggy, so if you have lower back pain beware. Lack of attention to details that I would have expected for the price, like a bedside lamp that doesn't reach the plug unless you put it on the floor. The garden view is just a chain link fence with a green tarp. The room is quite bright at night, because there is a high-up window that can't be covered. As other reviews mention, lots of stairs.
